lactation support

Together with the AFS (Arbeitsgemeinschaft Freier Stillgruppen Arbeitsverbindungen e.V.) I have the mission to support women who are confronted with challanges along their breastfeeding journey.

>> 98% of women are able to breastfeed from a physiological point of view. <<

There are still many myths about breastfeeding which can make it difficult to find a relaxed breastfeeding relationship. Sometimes there are external expectations or additional stress factors in the daily life that make breastfeeding difficult. Filtering them out and replacing them with knowledge from current studies can lead to a more relaxed nursing situation.

Sometimes it's about practical knowledge. Small changes in the breastfeeding process and the position or, if necessary, the addition of little helper tools can work wonders.

I work with the germany-wide breastfeeding expert team of the AFS to find the best individual solution for each mother.

The breastfeeding support takes place on a voluntary basis - I want to empower as many mothers and babies to breastfeeding as possible without the hurdle of finances. Since I am professionally but also privately quite busy, I can only agree to breastfeeding support if my shedule allows it. I ask for your understanding if I am not immediately available.

Facts about breastfeeding

How children benefit from breastfeeding

  • Breastfeeding is natural baby food that has been tried and tested for millions of years. It contains all the necessary nutrients in just the right amount.

  • Breastfeeding reduces the risk of developing certain diseases or allergies

  • Breastfeeding strengthens the child's basic trust

  • Breastfeeding promotes healthy development of the jaw and the position of the teeth, tongue and facial muscles and thus language development.

How breastfeeding helps mothers

  • Breastfeeding ensures intimate, cuddly skin contact - for a total of around 600 hours in the first six months alone. This not only makes the baby happy, but also the mom.

  • Breastfeeding makes night-time feeding easier – the milk is immediately available at the right temperature, and there is no need to laboriously heat a bottle.

  • Breastfeeding promotes the involution of the uterus after birth - it is faster and better.

  • Breastfeeding makes you happy and relaxed - important not only in the turbulent early days of newborns.

What breastfeeding brings to the family

  • Breastfeeding saves money – around 750 euros in the first six months alone.

  • Breastfeeding saves time and requires no shopping, no preparation and no washing up.

How breastfeeding contributes to society

  • Breastfeeding is active environmental protection. After all, part of the energy- and raw-material-intensive production, transport and packaging of the artificial food is no longer necessary.

  • Breastfeeding saves the healthcare system a lot of money. Statistically, breastfed children get sick less often, are hospitalized less often, and require less medication
